Disney Day 5: Animal Kingdom

Our last day at Disney we went to Animal Kingdom. Our flight left at 5:00 pm so we had a good portion of the day to still go to a park. Animal Kingdom had extra magic hours from 8:00 - 9:00 am but our bus transportation barely got us there by 9:00. Animal Kingdom is really spread out and things are far away so it did take us some time to really figure out what rides and shows to go to when. We ended up just running out of time. Another thing Dan and I decided "would be better next time"!

This was a pretty intense/loud/frightening ride. Courtney didn't love it :)

A Bug's Life show ( an 8 year old girl screamed and cried in front of us through the entire show becuase she was so scared...thanks mom and dad for forcing her to stay).

Lion King show!

The Tree of Life

Pin Trading! We bought 10 pins on Amazon before we left (for $11). They were weird pins (Nightmare before Christmas, Donald, Goofy, older obscure characters, etc). We did start with that Ariel and Eric pin and the Cinderella pin. Everything else we traded for. Any Disney worker who is wearing pins will allow children to trade any pin for one of theirs! It was a fun little extra thing that Courtney got to do. We told her if there was ever a worker whose pins she didn't want she could tell them "no thanks". But she traded every time!
All the pins we ended the trip with!

Summer: week 3

This was a weird week with our "schedule" of activities. Try it Tuesday happened on Wednesday and water Wednesday was on Tuesday. Field trip Friday was a trip up the street to the pool...it was Disney prep week so I don't feel bad at all!
We put spinach and cherry tomatoes from our garden in our Popsicles!! What?!? Courtney was excited to let ua know you could not taste the veggies! Thank goodness :)
Pool posers.

Plane present

Part of our Disney packing list included a plane present. When Dan asked me why that meant, I got a little embarrassed. One more unnecessary over the top thing.  But my sweet husband knows me, didn't bat an eye and said how awesome it was. I bought a few little Disney dollar store goodies, put then in a magical Mickey bag with a note:
To Courtney, love Mickey and Minnie

We will slip it to our flight attendant while boarding and then sometime during the flight it will be delivered to her.

Just more magic to create special memories!!
