Disney Day 4: Magic Kingdom

Today we were determined to make it to rope drop! I had no idea what this was before I found a pin on Pinterest about it.  Before the park opens, you can show your tickets and walk in 50 feet to this rope. Then, about 10 minutes before the park opens, the Disney mayor welcomes everyone with song and dance and Mickey and all the characters (most of them) ride in on a train, wave and then the rope drops allowing everyone entrance to the park. We weren't sure if we would make it, but all the Disney bus gods were in our favor that day and we did! So we got to the park at 8:30 am and left at 11pm. No big deal.

Merida's line fills up fast so after rope drop, Dan went to get a fast pass and Courtney and I came straight to her line!

Meeting the fairy godmother was one of Courtney's highlights.  We had an amazing insider character schedule and were waiting on her. We saw her walk out of the castle and Courtney ran up to her. I started to try and back Courtney off (knowing that a Disney cast member always walks the characters to their location for the meet and greet) but the fairy godmother took Courtney by the hand and walked her to her spot! Amazing!

Her first roller coaster! Courts loved Barnstormer!

Waiting in line for Be Our Guest Restaurant at the Beast's Castle.

This really was an amazing place for a quick service lunch (on the meal plan). Real plates. Interesting menu (I could have gotten something way better but this Croque Monsier sandwich sounded too good)! Waiters brought your food out on carts. Cool desserts (most every place has chocolate cake or carrot cake).  Last - you're in the Beast's castle.

Tonight we had dinner at 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian. We brought clothes to change into and just jumped on the monorail from Magic Kingdom. All of Cinderella's crew came to our table!

This was probably my favorite character. She was just perfect! She scowled, she was demanding, rude and overall, an awesome performer!

She made Courtney hold her autograph book!

This is what you get when you ask Dan to stand in for a shot to check lighting...

Splash Mountain at night.

Ariel's Grotto at night.

This ride was really fun but we only got to ride it once because it was "down" most of the time we were at Magic Kingdom.

I love this picture! I love all the characters, Courtney with her ears and the fireworks!
A perfect day!
